Udoy: Economic Empowerment

Spreeha reached approximate 15,000 people through skills training and awareness over the last 10 years since 2013. The objective was to make underserved and unemployed youth ready for the competitive job market. With the fast-growing economy of Bangladesh, the demand and supply of skills in the job market has changed over time. To match the demographic dividend of the country, entrepreneurship and idea innovation are promoted by the government in recent years. But there is a significant gap in access to finance and technical support for new entrepreneurs, especially for small-scale business owners.

This project aims at creating a holistic support for small-scale enterprises, farmers, new enterprises, and women entrepreneurs all over Bangladesh. Support ranges from small-size grants to technical support like assistance in developing business plan, financial management, business growth tracking, information and assistance on regulatory issues etc.

As of September 2023, the project has supported 40 Agri-entrepreneurs in two districts of the country.
