Nadia Mahmud is a registered dietitian nutritionist specializing in the field of nutrigenomics and believes in taking a proactive approach to manage people’s health. Currently, she is working part-time in a small private practice with a team of RDs and mental health therapists at CRAVE Health in Bellevue.

Prior to going into the field of nutrition, she worked in the non-profit sector for over 10 years. First she worked at a non-profit called the Academy of Business Leadership as their Director of Programs working with at-risk youth in Los Angeles to provide them with entrepreneurial training and mentorship. After that she co-founded a non-profit called Jolkona in 2007 which supports global social entrepreneurs through business workshops and mentorship. Prior to it’s current model, she served as its Executive director providing grants to various global development non-profits. Her previous volunteer experiences and various site visits to non-profit grantees around the world have shaped her still evolving passion and interest in the non-profit and international development areas.

Nadia completed her BA from UCLA in Business/Economics and her Masters in Public Health and dietetic internship in nutrition at the University of Washington. She is a graduate of the Global Leadership Forum, a past Cordes Fellow, and a World Economic Forum Seattle Global Shaper alumni. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with her two young kids, and reading. She currently is a member of the Equity and inclusion committee at the Meridian School and on the steering committee for the Seattle Chapter for Givelight Foundation.
